Service questions

Answers before you call

What kinds of vehicles do you work on?

All makes and models, foreign and domestic, including cars, trucks and SUVs.

How do I know which service my car needs?

You do not have to know. Tell us what you are noticing, such as a noise, a smell, a warning light or a change in how the car drives, and we will inspect and test it to find the cause before recommending a repair.

Will I know the cost before you start?

Yes. We explain what we found and give you an estimate before starting the repair, so there are no surprises.

Is it safe to drive with squealing brakes?

Squealing is often the wear indicator saying the pads are getting thin, so have them checked soon. Grinding, a soft pedal or pulling to one side are more serious. If the pedal feels soft or sinks, avoid driving until the brakes are inspected.

How often should I change my oil?

Follow the interval in your owner’s manual or your oil-life monitor, since it depends on your engine and oil type. Short trips, towing and Florida heat can call for changes sooner.

Why is my car AC blowing warm air?

Common causes are low refrigerant from a leak, a failing compressor or clutch, a blocked condenser or an electrical fault. We check the system to find which one it is before recommending a repair.

Tell us what your car is doing.
